Holiday Recipe: Sausage "Cookie"

How do you take the festive joy of Holiday cookies and bring it to breakfast? With Jimmy Dean Holiday Sausage "Cookies" - Jimmy Dean sausage, cut into festive holiday shapes! Grab your favorite holiday cookie cutter shapes, and a roll of fresh, signature seasoned Jimmy Dean premium pork sausage, and start your day with some Holiday spirit.


  • 1 Regular Premium Pork Sausage

  • Optional decorations: Feta cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, American cheese slices, peppers, bacon, sour cream, orange peel, peppercorns, rosemary


  1. Remove sausage from roll and flatten onto a large sheet of parchment or plastic wrap. Top sausage with second piece of parchment paper. Roll sausage evenly to about 1/4-inch thickness. Place on a large baking pan and cover. Freeze for about 1 hour until firm but not a hard freeze.

  2. Remove sausage from freezer and cut sausage with cookie cutters into fun holiday shapes.

  3. Cook sausage shapes in a large skillet over medium heat for 8-10 minutes or until a minimum temperature of 160 degrees fahrenheit is reached. Decorate with garnishes to serve, if desired.
