Cheesy Sausage Grits

1 package Original Jimmy Dean Premium Pork Sausage
1 cup stone ground grits
2- 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
1- 1/2 cup milk, divided
2 tablespoons dry Ranch dressing mix
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper, to taste
Turn Instant Pot on Sauté setting. Cook Jimmy Dean Premium Pork Sausage until no longer pink, breaking up sausage as it cooks.
Turn Instant Pot off. Stir in stone ground grits, chicken broth, 1 cup milk, Ranch seasoning and garlic powder.
Close lid, lock pot, select "Manual" setting and 10 minutes cooking time. Perform a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then release quick release any remaining pressure.
Stir in remaining 1/2 cup milk and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Check seasoning and add salt and/or pepper to taste.
