Maple Sausage Fruit and Nut Stuffing

Holiday guests will get a sweet surprise when you add apples, pecans and Jimmy Dean® Maple Pork Sausage to the stuffing!


  • 1 package Maple Premium Pork Sausage

  • 1 cup chopped onion

  • 1 bag (14 ounces) cubed unseasoned stuffing mix

  • 3 cups apple juice

  • 1 cup finely chopped tart baking apple

  • ½ cup raisins

  • ½ cup chopped pecans

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

  • 1 tablespoon orange zest

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg


  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Cook sausage and onion in large stockpot over MEDIUM-HIGH heat 8-10 minutes or until sausage is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently; drain. Return sausage mixture to pan.

  2. Add remaining ingredients; mix just until blended.

  3. Pour into lightly greased 13x9-inch baking dish; cover.

  4. Bake 1 hour or until thoroughly heated (160°F), uncovering after 45 minutes.
