Cinnamon Roll Sausage Knots
Try this tasty twist on a classic cinnamon roll recipe. Sweet and savory come together as mouthwatering Jimmy Dean® sausage links are wrapped in hot cinnamon rolls and turned into delicious bite-sized snacks.
1 package Fully Cooked Original Pork Sausage Links
1 can (12.4-13 ounces) cinnamon rolls with icing
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 dash ground cinnamon (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a large foil-lined baking pan with cooking spray.
Open dough and separate into 8 cinnamon rolls. Set aside 2 of the rolls. (Bake these separately as a cook's treat!)
Unwrap remaining 6 cinnamon rolls and cut each strip in half to make 12 dough strips. Twist each dough strip, stretching dough, and wrap around sausage links. Place on prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 12-14 minutes or until dough is golden brown and sausages are hot.
Combine frosting and syrup in a small bowl, mixing until blended. Stir in a dash of cinnamon, if desired. Spread frosting on sausage bites when removed from oven.
