Belgian Waffles with Sausage Links

Bring our signature seasoning to your plate with this homemade Belgian waffle recipe. All you gotta do is pair up our savory Jimmy Dean® sausage links with some fluffy Belgian waffles for a warm and welcoming breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Premium All Natural Pork Sausage Links

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 3 ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 2 large eggs, separated

  • 1 ½ cup whole milk

  • 1 cup butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Cook sausage according to package directions. Keep warm.

  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in middle of bowl.

  3. Lightly beat egg yolks with a wire whisk; stir in milk, butter and vanilla; mix well. Add mixture all at once into dry ingredients stirring just until combined (batter will be lumpy).

  4. Beat egg whites with an electric mixer in a clean medium bowl until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into batter.

  5. Add batter to a preheated lightly greased Belgian waffle iron. Close waffle iron. Cook according to manufacturer's directions, until golden brown. When done, use a fork or tongs to remove waffle. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve warm with butter and maple syrup and prepared sausages.
