Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Chopped Hardwood Smoked Uncooked Premium Bacon

  • ½ pound shell pasta

  • ⅔ cup frozen peas

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 4 cups milk

  • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 8 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups shredded white cheddar

  • ½ cup grated parmesan

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • chopped parsley for garnish

Directions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.

  2. Add chopped bacon to a medium, pre-heated skillet. As bacon heats, stir occasionally to break apart pieces until crispy, approximately 4-6 minutes. Remove cooked bacon and drain on a paper towel.

  3. While bacon is cooking, add butter to a medium saucepan and heat on medium-high until melted. Add flour and stir continuously until slightly darker in color, about 4 minutes.

  4. Lower heat to medium and slowly pour in milk while continuously stirring until thick and bubbly, approximately 6-8 minutes.

  5. Remove from heat and add in one third of the cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Repeat until all cheese is melted and velvety. Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

  6. Fold in bacon, eggs, and frozen peas.

  7. Combine cheese sauce mixture of milk, unsalted butter, all-purpose flour, shredded white cheddar, and grated parmesan with cooked noodles.

  8. Garnish with chopped parsley.
