Ingredients:

  1. 5 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  2. 2 c. Yellow Onion, 1/8 sliced
  3. 1 1/2 c. Carrot, peeled, 1/4 dice
  4. 1 1/2 c. Red Wine
  5. 28 oz. Diced Tomato, Italian seasoned
  6. 3 Tbsp. Tomato Paste
  7. 1 package Jimmy Dean Regular Roll Sausage, cooked, crumbled, drained
  8. 1 c. Heavy Cream
  9. 1 tsp. Salt
  10. 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper, ground
  11. 6 Tbsp. Fresh Basil, chopped

Directions:

Start by heating 5 Tbsp. olive oil in a small pot on medium heat. Once heated add the onions and cook for 4 minutes. Next, add the carrot and red wine; cook for a minute. Now add the diced tomato, tomato paste, and sausage. Continue cooking for 20 minutes at a simmer. Add the heavy cream and stir. Add the salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes. Garnish with basil.
